Check kiting is a costly problem throughout the banking industry. ITI and Carreker have teamed
up to offer a fast and effective solution to cut kiting losses. Carreker’s FraudLink Kite anti-fraud program works with ITI’s Premier account management systems to identify potential kiting accounts, helping bankers highlight and address the most serious problems first.

Through ITI's FraudLink Kite Interface, Premier Core (demand deposit, savings, CD and loan applications) extracts account information to create a Suspect Kiting Report that lists every account in which check kiting may be occurring, and then generates an output file. This file is passed to FraudLink Kite, which uses Carreker’s innovative, behavior-based technology to analyze those accounts and rate the risk of kiting within each.

This combination efficiently automates the otherwise time-consuming, labor-intensive task of evaluating accounts. It helps banks avoid spending time and labor investigating minor discrepancies, so they can focus resources on those accounts posing the greatest risk.
