The Information Technology, Inc. Computer Services Billing System (CSB) is the solution for
data processing centers that need to track, analyze and bill for the resources utilized by
processed institutions. CSB is fully integrated with other ITI systems and modules, and can
even bill for the use of non-ITI applications.
Processing centers establish the services offered to client institutions, establish fees for
the services, accumulate statistics, and analyze results. These are all functions which
CSB helps automate to provide data centers with the tools and information needed for
efficient tracking and billing.
Products are the foundation for billing in CSB. Processors can track and bill for products such
as ITI applications (e.g. DDA, Loans, General Ledger) and products that cross the lines of multiple
ITI applications (e.g. special forms). Products can also be established for tracking and billing services from an external source such as a payroll system or credit card system.
\Within products, accumulators are the activity counters used to track and bill specific types of
activity. For example, when a processing center establishes a product called "Demand Deposits,"
it may also choose to bill for the number of DDA accounts, transactions and reports. These are
three accumulators within the DDA product.
To bill for processing services, CSB generates 8 1/2" x 11" statements with detailed fee
descriptions and optional billing by branch. In addition, CSB offers a complete audit trail of
billing charges, transaction activity charges, recurring charges and onetime charges, and
generates reports of all transaction activity.
Multiple Branches
Institutions with multiple branches will find it easy to allocate specific computer processing costs to each branch. Activity can be tracked and reported at the branch level strictly for the purpose of statistical analysis. Statistical information can also be accumulated from several institutions and consolidated into a single report for multi-bank holding companies.
